SweetPea - yr 2 collection

I am designing a collection of clothes for evening/partywear. They will be designed for ages 18 - 25 and in sizes 8 -14. My vision is to have more of a boutique style collection, full of cute and sexy dress. They will be aimed at a higher market than just student clothes. I want a collection of simple styles that are full of embellishment and shape.

I have used the old english country garden as my inspiration and have used the colours and shapes that you see in the gardens as inspiration. I have gone around many different Old Gardens and taken so many pictures. I love the colours and shapes that they provide.

Through investigating more i have found that i really want the pinks and neutrals to come through in my collection. This is my chosen colour palette:

I have really loved looking through all of the gardens and taking style inspiration from them. As i have done my research and my designing it has shown me my inspirations. This is my inspiration mood board:

Through this i have then designed a collection of 4 items of clothing, all dresses for the show next year. Its on on the 23rd of June 2011, with the location yet to be chosen. Stay posted for designs and location.

Street style.

This is my street syle report. I found it quite hard as when walkin round town i couldnt really see anyone that stood out to me so i took some pitures at home and employed a guy at ride to take some pictures for me too.

Romance.

This arrangement of photos represents all that i love about fashion. Cute accessories, Romance, Lace, Crop. I love the bright pink flowers in the background against the creams of the outfit. Everything about this image screams delicateness and sweetness. Its such an artistic set and i love the big flower corsage too. Theres something very french about her outfit and this i love!!!

The World Of Me.

Inspirations...

Ever since i was a young girl fashion has ment everything. I've been able to pick my own clothes for aslong as i can remember and love every aspect of the fashion world. I love how different clothes make you feel certain ways and how you can change peoples opinions of you by simply putting on a different outfit. Most of all i love the beautiful elegance of the simplist of outfits and the accessorise that you can add to make any outfit seem new, exciting and different. I love a simple black dress, dressed up with lovely jewellery or just a bright pair of shoes to bring it out of its shell. I love cute outfits that make people double take you, not because you look weird but because you stand out in a way that almost makes people fall in love with you. Sometimes the loveliest of outfits take that little bit more time to put together but make you feel amazing, and when u feel good about what you wear it gives you a glow.
